Tesla Model S: Stealth Modus
Ich persönliche habe (hatte) eine kritische Einstellung gegenüber Elektroautos. Es geht doch nichts über lauten Motorenlärm und Benzingeruch oder das Geräusch, wenn die Gänge reingehauen werden. Für mich waren Elektroautos ein Produkt für städtische Naturfreunde und Grüne, die mit ihrem Elektromobil ins Reformhaus fahren, um dort ihren Biosalat und umweltfreundliches Abwaschmittel zu kaufen. das 10€ kostet, ausgerüstet mit einem farbigen Halstuch, Hanfpullover und Birkenstocksandalen.
Versteht mich nicht falsch, Umweltschutz ist gut, auch ich trenne meinen Abfall und entsorge Batterien fachgerecht. Aber ihr wisst was ich meine.
Jedenfalls hatte ich von Tesla Zürich eine Einladung bekommen, den Tesla Model S mal zu fahren. Ich habe viel davon gehört : es solle viel Fahrspass bereiten, es soll sehr alltagstauglich und dennoch sportlich sein. Ich wollte mir trotzdem meine eigene Meinung bilden.
Personally, I had a very critical opinion about electrical cars before. I mean, what is driving without the loud sounds of your engine and the smell of petrol. The sound of the gearbox when you shift gears. To me, electric cars are for eco freaks who drive to the bio store to purchase their overprices bio salad and eco friendly detergent for 10$ dressed with a colorfoul scarf, hemp pullover and some awkward looking health sandals. Don’t get me wrong, protecting your environment is good, even I seperate my batteries from the regular trash. But you know where I am going here.
Anyways, I received an Invitation from Tesla in Zurich to test drive their newest model s. I heard alot about ist. It’s supposed to be really fun to drive and be a very reliable everyday car but yet still have very sporty caracteristics. I still wanted to experience it myself.
Meine Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Und wie! Solch eine Wahnsinns- Beschleunigung hatte ich wirklich nicht erwartet. Trotzdem hängt er nicht zu aggressiv am „Gas“. Er fährt sich super durch die Innenstadt, geräuschlos im Stealth Modus. Das einzige was man wirklich hört, sind die Abrollgeräusche der Reifen und den Fahrtwind. Bei voller Beschleunigung hört man ein „surren“, das irgendwie an das Aufspulen von Turbos erinnert.
My expectations have been exceeded by far. I really haven’t expected such a crazy acceleration. And still, it isn’t aggressive on the „gas“pedal. It cruises really nicely trough the inner city, without any sound, real stealth mode. The only thing you can hear are the tyres and the wind. At full throttle you will hear the typical electric humming you would expect. It reminds of the spooling of turbos somehow.
Optisch erinnert er stark an den Jaguar XJ. Ich bin auch nicht der Einzige der so denkt.
The design reminds me of the Jaguar XJ. Obviously im not the only one with this opinion.

Übergrosses Touchscreen Display; hier kann alles eingestellt und angepasst werden: Fahrwehrkshöhe, Lenkung, Ambience Beleuchtung, und das Sonnendach. Es erinnert mich mehr an ein Tablet App, aber es funktioniert alles perfekt. Das grosse Display ist anders als alles bisher gewohnte und auch relativ hell, ob ich mich daran gewöhnen könnte weiß ich nicht. Es kursieren auch Gerüchte, dass die Schweizerische Zulassungsstelle für Fahrzeuge sich bereits wegen des Displays aufgeregt hat.
Oversized Touchscreen Display; You can adjust everything here. From ride height, steering, ambience lighting up to the sunroof. Somehow it reminds me of a Tablet app but everything works just fine. The huge display might be a bit of a thing to get used to as it is really huge and very bright. Im not sure whether i could get used to it. There are rumors that the swiss registration office for vehicles are already creating a fuss about it.
Die Reichweite beträgt etwas über 500km, um die Batterien komplett aufzuladen benötigt man etwa 8 Stunden, bei einer Tesla „Tankstelle“ mit dem Powercharger ca. 30 Minuten. Der Fahrspaß ist groß, auch wenn es etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig ist wenn die Motorengeräusche fehlen, vor allem bei einer derartigen Beschleunigung. Die Sitze könnten etwas bequemer sein, aber ansonsten ist alles sehr sauber verarbeitet, ein zusätzliches Plus ist der Heckantrieb. Als Alltagsauto könnte ich mir den Model S durchaus vorstellen, jedoch nicht zu solch einem hohen Preis von ca. 100’000 Franken. Ich denke der Preis wird in Zukunft fallen, da Tesla zurzeit den Bau einer grösseren Fabrik in den USA plant, um die Produktionsrate zu steigern. Zur Lebensdauer der Batterien kann ich natürlich nicht viel sagen, ich möchte aber auch keine wilden Behauptungen aufstellen.
Fazit; Tolles Auto, viel Fahrspaß und das ganz ohne Benzin. Etwas hoher Preis aber dennoch eine Überlegung wert. Ich bin sehr gespannt darauf, was Tesla als nächstes bringen wird.
The range is around 500km, to charge the batteries fully you will require around 8 hours of charging at home. At an official Tesla charging station with the powercharger, around 30 minutes. The driving pleasure is amazing, although without any engine sounds a bit weird.The seats could be a bit more comfortable but the rest has been done very well, the dashboard is very easy on the eye. An additional plus is the rear wheel drive. I could imagine the Model S being my daily ride, but the high price of nearly 100’000 swiss francs makes it a bit less attractive. I guess the prices for Tesla cars will drop remarkably in the future as there are new plants planned in the USA to increase their productionrate. How long the battery lifetime is ? I don’t know and I don’t want to make any statements. I really have no idea. I guess the future will show.
Conclusion; Great car, lots of driving fun and completely without any petrol. A bit of a high price, yes, but yet still worth thinking about it. I am very curious to see with what Tesla is coming up next. Check back to USED4.net for more news very soon !
